GSM Telemetry Base Station

The GSM Telemetry Base Station is comprised of an Ettus Research USRP1 and a mini-ITX board which runs the OpenBTS an open source software and Asterisk software PBX. The picture to the right shows the setup with two phones connected and a GPS/GSM telemetry tag.

It uses the Asterisk software PBX to connect the calls and a separate module smqueue to control the sms messages. With a slight altering of this module, the sms data is skimmed and then outputted into a text file.

The picture to the left shows the skimmed data that was sent from the GPS/GSM telemetry tags, it records the IMSI number of the tags it was sent from as well as the message.
